A community hub is central to the London Community Learning Trust’s vision for Meridian Angel Primary School. Schools are places where large numbers of the community of all ages visit on a nearly daily basis. We believe that it is therefore logical to put schools at the heart of the other services a thriving, healthy community will use, both commercial and social. We are also strongly committed to life-long learning being at the heart of the community.
St John’s Church, Edmonton and the Hanlon Centre, the London Diocese of Schools and The Southover Partnership have joined together to form the London Community Learning Trust. The Trust’s vision is of a ‘community hub’ in Meridian Water, which will provide a focus for existing and new communities in Upper Edmonton, excellent education for all from pre-school to 19+, with the involvement of local community groups, local employers, a further education college and a university.

Education at Meridian Water is planned to be much more than the provision of schooling for pupils of statutory school age. The Trust is planning exciting opportunities for children as young as two and for adults throughout their lives. Adults will be able to participate alongside their children, as well as in specially-designed programmes to meet their needs and develop their skills for both the work place and leisure.
The Trust is delighted to welcome you to the Meridian Angel Primary School, which will be the Trust’s first school to open. We will ensure that Meridian Angel Primary School becomes an outstanding school, playing a key part in the local community.
